“How refreshing to find a reliable handyman who returns calls & emails, turns up when expected and is capable of a wide variety of jobs (with a wide range of tools to hand)!  Phil is a friendly & unassuming man who is very knowledgeable and has a common sense approach to his work. He shows an interest in problem solving rather than just blindly fixing the symptom.  We were very grateful for his advice when he removed render from our 2 large garden walls over two days, only to discover the wall was in very poor condition underneath. Phil pointed out the cause to us, listened to our concerns, spoke to our neighbours and checked the wall from their side, then politely suggested a number of options. He then removed a couple of courses of loose bricks, re-cemented quite a few of them, took down, cleaned and re-cemented a row of coping stones and left the wall in a much better condition, ready for re-rendering. I never got the impression he was looking for extra work as he was quite booked up, though thankfully available at fairly short notice on the days we wanted the work doing.  He stuck to his estimate of two days’ work (as my husband volunteered to do some labouring for him).  He is very honest about his abilities and limitations too. For a Handyman though, we were impressed and we will definitely call him again when necessary and have no hesitation in recommending him to others."
